General

General Questions

What is Vibrational Sound Therapy?

Vibrational Sound Therapy is a gentle, body‑based modality that uses therapeutic bowls placed on and around the body, as well as other instruments. The vibrations travel through muscles, fascia and the nervous system, helping the body shift into a state of deep rest and regulation.

Do I need to have experience with sound therapy?

No experience is needed. Sessions are suitable for complete beginners as well as those familiar with sound therapy or other wellbeing practices.

How many sessions do I need?

Some people feel a shift after one session; others benefit from regular support. Many clients choose weekly or monthly sessions to help regulate their nervous system over time.

Sessions

The Session

What happens during a session?

Each session begins with a short check‑in to understand how you’re feeling. You’ll then rest comfortably while therapeutic sound and vibration support your body to soften, settle, and release tension. Next follows quiet rest to let the nervous system settle, and closing in reflecting and aftercare guidance. Sessions are slow, gentle, and trauma‑aware.

What does a session feel like?

Most people describe the experience as deeply calming. The vibrations can help soften tension, quiet the mind and create a sense of internal stillness.

What if I fall asleep?

It’s very common to fall asleep. The vibration naturally brings the body into deep rest, and you’ll still receive the full benefit even if you drift off.

What if emotions come up?

Emotions can naturally surface as the body relaxes. It’s completely okay, the space is held gently, and we can pause or adjust the session whenever you need.

How will I feel afterwards?

Many people feel deeply relaxed, lighter, calmer or more grounded. Some experience emotional release, and sensations may surface as the body releases tension – these effects can last for several days and is very normal. Everyone responds differently – your body will take and release what it needs to.

Do you offer support after the session?

Yes. I offer gentle post‑session support to help you integrate anything that surfaced. This may include grounding practices, aftercare guidance or a brief check‑in if needed.

Trauma‑Aware Practice

Is this suitable if I’m dealing with trauma or emotional overwhelm?

Yes. Sessions are trauma‑aware, gentle, and never push the body beyond what it’s ready for. You remain in full control of your experience at all times.

Is this a replacement for therapy or counselling?

No. This work is mental‑health‑aligned, meaning it complements therapeutic support but does not replace it.

Do I need to talk about my personal history?

No. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you like. This work supports the nervous system without needing to talk through everything.

Can I have a session if I’m pregnant?

Sessions are generally safe after the first trimester, but please check in with me first.

Can I have a session if I have a pacemaker or implanted device?

Vibration may interfere with certain devices, so this requires a conversation before booking.
